You’ve booked the session, and now you need to find the perfect outfit for your little one’s Heirloom Portraits. These portraits are focused on capturing and displaying the sweet little features of your child’s face in a style that will last for generations.
When choosing an outfit for these sessions the top third of the blouse, dress, or romper is where the details will appear and give your portrait the elegant feel you are striving for. When selecting an outfit I always tell my clients: “Think Vintage.” I love lace details, smocking, bibbed tops, buttons, and peter pan collars.
When choosing what our little one wears for their heirloom portrait, another consideration is to think of where your portrait is going to be hung. White, cream, soft blues, and light baby pink are classic and timeless and will look stunning hanging in your home.
Here are some of my picks with one of my favorite shops for Heirloom Portraits. Brother & Sissy Children’s Boutique (https://shopbrotherandsissy.com/) has so many beautiful pieces that will be able to be passed down for generations, just as the portrait they will be wearing them in.
